Best Canadian food, Manchester
Why do we want to find the best Canadian food in Manchester?
Canada is synonymous with Ice Hockey and is its unofficial birth place. Let’s face it, you can’t tear the two apart. So what better to do than grab some Canadian food and head on down to Planet Ice to watch a game.
But where, you ask, can I get some of this amazing Canadian food?
Blue Caribou – Poutine
Poutine is basically posh chips, cheese and gravy. Sounds amazing right? Surely, this is an easy sell to Mancunians?
Well we think the best Poutine comes from the Blue Caribou Poutine. Blue Caribou Poutine was previously in the Arndale market place. Sadly, due to COVID they have move completely online. Great news though, you can still get their Poutine kits!
Moose Coffee – Brunch
Moose coffee is one of the best brunch spots in Manchester!
This amazing diner aims to offer American-Canadian influenced brunch spot and offers amazing brunch dishes. The dishes centre around, pancakes, coffee and maple syrup (as you would expect). What is not to like!
The perfect place for a pre-game bite to eat! You can find Moose Coffee on York Street in Town and at Piccadilly.
Tim Hortons
This coffee shop is a Canadian establishment and was set up by ex-NHL player, Tim Horton (as the name would suggest). Mr Horton helped the Toronto Maple Leafs to win four(!) Stanley Cups.
At its heart, Tim Hortons is a coffee shop. They are well known for their Timbits, which are like mini-bitesize doughnuts. Once of our favourite Canadian foods is Timbits and coffee.
You can find Tim Hortons on Oxford Road, Bury New Road and in Altrincham (near the Ice Rink)! The shop in Altrincham is perfect for grabbing a treat, right before the storm game.
So what are you waiting for?
Remember, #growthegame and go get yourself some scran for the game.
